# Beebo Entertainment
> Free, local-first media server and apps: your own movies, TV, music, photos, audiobooks and live TV, streamed from your own computer to phones, TVs, cars and browsers, with camp and road-trip features. Beebo includes no movies or shows; you bring your own files. Video goes straight from your own computer to the viewer whenever possible; Beebo's servers carry only small text such as sign-in and connection set-up.

Status words used on this site: Available (in the current downloads and usable today), Beta (you can try it, still being tested on real equipment), In development (being built, not released), Planned (intended, no date). We never claim a flat "100% working".

## Current downloads (October 13, 2026)
- Windows server 0.1.88: Available. Windows 10 and 11. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning the first time. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/windows.html
- Android phone and tablet app 1.51-tester23 (build 73): Available as a test download from this site. Not on Google Play. The same file has the Android TV / Google TV layout (Beta). https://www.beeboentertainment.com/app-on-your-phone.html
- Beebo Auto (Android Auto) 1.18 (build 19): Available as a test download. Not on Google Play. First checked in one real car on October 6, 2026 (sign-in, video list and sound); music and other features are not yet tested in a car. Use only when parked. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/car-companion.html
- Fire TV, Roku and LG TV tester builds: In development, install-it-yourself, not tested on a real TV yet. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/fire-tv-install.html, https://www.beeboentertainment.com/roku-install.html, https://www.beeboentertainment.com/lg-install.html
- Any web browser: Available, served by your own Beebo computer. On iPhone and iPad, open your Beebo address in Safari and use Add to Home Screen to install it like an app (no App Store needed).
- Machine-readable version files: https://www.beeboentertainment.com/desktop-version.json, https://www.beeboentertainment.com/downloads/app-build.json, https://www.beeboentertainment.com/downloads/auto-build.json

## Not downloadable right now, and why
- Linux desktop (AppImage and .deb): Beta, version 0.1.82, one release behind the current Windows 0.1.88 download, downloadable from the Linux page. Built on a real Linux toolchain; starts and answers on its web address in an automated check (headless, under WSL); not yet run on a real Linux desktop by a person; not code-signed. The old 0.1.58 build was removed on October 4, 2026 because it was many versions behind. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/linux.html#download
- Docker / NAS headless server (amd64 and arm64): Beta. The image was made private on October 4, 2026 for the same reason and will return with a newer build. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/docs/run-beebo-on-a-nas-or-linux-server.html
- macOS: In development. Test builds are made automatically, but no person has run one on a real Mac yet, and it needs Apple signing. Watch on a Mac in any browser today.
- Native iPhone, iPad and Apple TV apps: In development, not published, never tested on a real Apple device, need Apple's approval. Use Safari (and AirPlay to an Apple TV) today. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/apple.html
- Samsung smart TVs and Xbox: In development, no install file yet. Try the TV's web browser or Edge on the Xbox.
- Android on Google Play: In development, not submitted.
- PlayStation: no app and none planned (Sony has no open app store for apps like Beebo, and the console browsers cannot run Beebo's player).

## Services
- Beebo Relay: Beta. A backup route for watching away from home when a direct connection cannot be made. Direct, automatic router set-up (UPnP) and your own relay are free and always tried first. Relay is not something you can buy yet. Planned prices are listed on one page only: https://www.beeboentertainment.com/subscribe.html . Relay details: https://www.beeboentertainment.com/beebo-relay.html
- BeeboVPN: In development, invite-only test, not offered to the public. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/beebovpn.html
- Your own address: every Beebo gets a free yourname.beebo.tv address for watching away from home.

Your files stay on your own computer. Beebo keeps basic connection records, including IP addresses, for 7 days for abuse checks, and the amount of data used per account. Nothing is sold. Relay video is end-to-end encrypted and the relay cannot see it. https://www.beeboentertainment.com/movie-privacy.html

Percentages are checks passed out of checks planned. Untested paths are listed as not tested.
