The car apps are built so screens stay dark while you drive. Here’s how that works — and what you agree to when you use them.
Never watch video or operate a screen while driving. By using the BeeboTV car apps you agree to use them safely and lawfully, and you take full responsibility for doing so. The driver’s attention belongs on the road.
Beebo Mirror shows video on the car screen only after the car has stayed in Park since you turned it on, and only once a built-in 2-minute countdown has fully elapsed. Until then the screen shows a waiting card, not video.
If the car moves or shifts out of Park at any point, mirroring stops and stays off for the rest of the trip — the screen shows “Mirroring paused for safety.” To use it again you must turn the car off and back on, keep it in Park, and wait the two minutes again. There is no way to mirror video while moving.
Start and stop live on the phone, not the car screen. On the rare head-unit that can’t report its gear or speed, a clearly-labelled “My car is parked” confirmation on the phone lets a genuinely parked driver watch — and mirroring switches off automatically the moment any movement is detected.
These features are safety aids, not guarantees. Sensors, cars, and software can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable, and the app cannot know your situation. You must not rely on the app to make it safe or legal to use a screen while driving.
