Install Beebo on a Fire TV
A tester build of Beebo for Amazon Fire TV. You install it yourself with the free Downloader app, then sign in with a code you approve on your phone.
Beta This build has not been tested on a real Fire TV yet. It was built and checked on a computer only. Things may not work, and you are helping us find out what. Thank you.
Before you start
- You need Beebo already running on a computer at your home, and your own Beebo username and password.
- Your Fire TV must be a Fire TV Stick, Cube or Fire TV television that runs Fire OS (most do). The newest low-cost sticks run Vega OS and cannot install this app. To check: Settings > My Fire TV > About.
- For sign-in the easy way, you need the newest Beebo phone app on your phone.
- If you already installed Beebo on this Fire TV from our website, you do not need to remove it. This tester build installs over it and keeps your sign-in.
Steps
Install Downloader
On the Fire TV home screen, search for Downloader (the orange app by AFTVnews) and install it.
Open Developer options
Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options.
If you do not see Developer options: go to Settings > My Fire TV > About, highlight the device name and press the middle (Select) button 7 times. Then go back.
Allow Downloader to install apps
In Developer options, choose Install unknown apps (on older Fire TVs: Apps from Unknown Sources) and turn it On for Downloader.
Open Downloader
If it asks for permission to use files, choose Allow.
Type the download address
In the address box, type this address and choose Go:
https://github.com/beeboentertainment/beebotv/releases/download/Beebo-TV-test-2026-10-05/BeeboFireTV.apkInstall
When the download finishes, choose Install. When it says "App installed", choose Done. Downloader may offer to delete the install file: choose Delete (Beebo stays installed).
Open Beebo
Open Beebo Entertainment from Your Apps & Channels (you may need to choose "See all").
Sign in with Link a TV (the main way)
Beebo shows a code on the TV. On your phone, open Beebo, go to Settings, then Link a TV. Enter the code from the TV (or scan the TV's QR code with your phone's camera), and approve.
The TV says Approved, connects to your home and shows your library. The code refreshes by itself; if it changed, use the new one.
Or sign in with email and password
If the phone way does not work, or you have no phone with Beebo, choose Sign in with email and password instead on the TV and fill in the three boxes with the remote:
Home: your home's Beebo name, or the owner's email. Username: your own Beebo username. Password: your own Beebo password. Then choose Sign in.
If something goes wrong, tell us
Send a short message in the tester chat with:
- Your Fire TV model and Fire OS version (Settings > My Fire TV > About).
- Whether you signed in with the phone code or with email and password.
- Which step number went wrong, and the exact words on the screen (a phone photo of the TV is perfect).
- Whether you were at home (same Wi-Fi as the Beebo computer) or away.
- For playback problems: the movie or show name, and whether it never started, stopped part way, or had no sound or picture.
Please do not send your password.
