Take your Beebo library with you in a supported phone browser. You can add the browser version to your Home Screen, or try the Android Test download. The Android app is not on Google Play, and a native iPhone app is still in development. This guide shows the setup steps and what we have tested so far.
The quick version: open your family’s yourname.beebo.tv address in a web browser, sign in, then tap Install app or Add to Home Screen. That’s it — Beebo now lives on your phone like any other app. Below, the same steps are spelled out for each kind of device.
If your phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the computer running Beebo, use the short local address shown on the owner’s Get Started screen — a few numbers like 192.168.1.50:47811. Easiest of all: the same screen shows a QR code you can point your phone’s camera at to open it instantly.
Out and about — on mobile data, at a friend’s place, anywhere but home — open your family’s permanent web address instead: yourname.beebo.tv (the owner sees the exact one on their Get Started screen). It works from anywhere in the world, and it never changes.
What’s the difference? “Home Wi-Fi” is the fast local shortcut for when you’re in the house. “Away from home” is your .beebo.tv web address for everywhere else. Good news: you only install Beebo once. Install it from your .beebo.tv address — that one works at home and away, so it’s the only one you need. (The short 192.168… address is handy for browsing on the sofa, but it can’t be installed to your home screen.)
iPhones and iPads install Beebo straight from Safari — no App Store needed.
Type your family’s address (like yourname.beebo.tv) into Safari, or scan the QR code from the owner’s screen. Use Safari specifically — that’s where you’ll find the Add to Home Screen button.
Enter the username and login code (or password) the owner gave you. Your library appears.
It’s the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (or at the top on an iPad).
Scroll the share menu until you see it, tap it, then tap Add. A Beebo icon lands on your Home Screen — open it any time like a normal app.
On Android you’ve got two easy options. The browser install works everywhere; the Android app adds a few extras.
Galaxy S9+, Android 10, October 5: a release build of the newest code passed 15 of 16 checks: installing over the old app with the sign-in kept, Home, Browse, Library, playing, seeking, pausing and resuming a film, the Campsite host screen and a game, and the Downloads screen, with no crash. The one failure, a language change that only showed after a restart, is fixed in 1.51-tester11.
Galaxy S9+, October 5, second run: a release build of the tester11 code passed 10 of 11 checks, with 1 not run (the Campsite Wi-Fi QR screen, which needs a hotspot): the language change now applies at once, missing episodes show their code once, the Watch Together headings are readable, and no crash.
Galaxy S24 Ultra, Android 16, October 5: a test build of tester11 passed 11 of 11 checks. Casting: from the S9+ and the S24 to a Chromecast TV, each fresh cast started first try in about 8 seconds; pause, resume, seek, stop and recast worked. 21 of 22 cast and phone checks passed. The one failure: stopping a cast after switching to the next episode breaks the phone’s player until you reopen the episode. A fix is being tested.
October 4: the S9 played a film away from home through another phone’s mobile data (“Through Beebo Relay”), and a two-phone Campsite session shared one film from a Galaxy S24 Ultra host to the S9 in Chrome.
This is our own testing on our own phones, not a broad beta. Downloading a title, the 2-minute first-cast wait for a film your computer is still preparing, Watch Together beyond two phones in one home, and iPhone use were not verified by these sessions. .apk file to install.Which Android option should I pick? The browser install is a good starting point. Choose the downloaded Android app if you want road-trip extras such as picture-in-picture and saving your own movies for offline viewing. When you download something for offline, you can also pick a smaller 1080p or 720p size instead of the original file, to save space on your phone before a trip. Watch Together is in Beta: it has worked on two phones in one home, but it is not ready to rely on yet.
Open your Beebo address in Chrome or Edge and look for a small install icon in the address bar (a little screen with a down-arrow), or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install Beebo Entertainment. It opens in its own window, just like a desktop app.
🎉 You’re done. However you installed it, Beebo now opens straight to your library. Sign in once and it remembers you. Because you installed it from your .beebo.tv address, it keeps working when you leave the house — so movie night follows you out the door.

Make sure you’ve fully opened the Beebo page (not just a search result), and that you’re using Safari on iPhone/iPad or Chrome/Edge on Android and computers. Some other browsers hide this feature. Refresh the page and check the browser’s share or ⋮ menu again.
The browser install does not need an app store. The Android app is a Test download you install from this site, not a Google Play listing. Google Play testing has not started. Native iPhone and iPad apps are in development. See our Android testing update.
Yes — install Beebo once on each phone or tablet that will watch. Every person signs in with their own account, so everyone gets their own Continue Watching.
At home you may have used the local 192.168… address, which only works on the home Wi-Fi. Away from home, open your yourname.beebo.tv address instead. See Watch away from home for the full details.
That’s normal for apps you download outside the Play Store. When your phone asks, allow installs from your browser, then tap the downloaded file again. If you’d rather skip that, just use the browser install (Option A) instead.
Absolutely — press and hold the Beebo icon and choose Remove/Uninstall, exactly like any other app. Your account and library are untouched; you can reinstall any time.

Not yet tested on real devices.
In the Oct 21, 2026 release: guests get an H.264/AAC copy when the original audio will not play in a browser, and host approval no longer cuts a running download.

Off and in the Oct 21, 2026 release: Invite from anywhere always asks the host to approve each guest, Android has a host panel without a microphone, and each guest has message limits. Code is complete; it has not been tested on real phones. The server part is on; the Oct 21, 2026 release is the first app release that uses it.
